A friendly and knowledgeable tour leader from Secret of Egypt will greet you at the Luxor Airport and will escort you to the luxury Nile River cruiser that you will call home for the next week. Enjoy a delectable lunch onboard and then relax and refresh yourself before the afternoon of sightseeing begins.
The first stop on your afternoon adventure will be on Luxor’s East Bank at the Karnak Temple complex, one of the biggest and most well-known sites in the Nile River Valley. After the Karnak Temple you will visit the Luxor Museum before returning to the river cruiser. You will be served a delicious dinner onboard, and have the evening to relax and get a good night’s rest in your cabin.

Enjoy an early breakfast and get ready to explore the wonders of the West Bank of Luxor, or what was known in the ancient world as the city of Thebes. The incredible Valley of the Kings awaits you as you will spend the day exploring this necropolis of over 70 tombs of the ancient royal families including King Ramses VI and the famous King Tutankhamen.
You will be amazed by the Temple of Medinet Habu, Dier El Madina, and the iconic Colossi of Memnon. After this full morning of discovery, you will be accompanied back to the ship for a cool and refreshing lunch onboard.
After lunch the ship will embark on a short cruise to the city of Qena, where you will go ashore and visit the spectacular Temple of Dendera. After returning from your excursion, you can relax, or join a complementary cocktail party, before a lovely dinner is served on the ship. Enjoy a restful night on the water at Qena.

Take an early breakfast before visiting the spectacular Temple of Abydos, not as popular as other sites, but unforgettable for its vibrantly painted walls. It is a wonderful treat you won’t want to miss.
In the afternoon, the river cruiser will embark on the short trip back to Luxor, lunch will be served, and you will have some leisure time on the ship. Once back in Luxor you will go ashore to visit the Luxor Temple.
The evening will be yours to do what you like. Dinner will be served onboard the ship, and you will spend the night in your cabin while docked at Luxor.

Today will be a day mostly for relaxation and leisure time. The ship will depart early for the city of Edfu, while you take in a lovely breakfast. You will have time on the ship to enjoy the sun, read, or watch the birds and the river roll by.
Lunch will be served on the ship as well, and once docked at Edfu you are welcome to go ashore for some spontaneous sightseeing of your own. Later in the afternoon you will join the group for a tour of the Edfu Temple, the most well-preserved and one of the most fascinating temples from the ancient world. It is dedicated to the falcon god, Horus and is quite spectacular.
Once again, dinner will be served on the ship and you will spend the night on the water at Edfu.

Your luxury Nile River cruiser will depart early for this action-packed day. You will enjoy breakfast again as the ship sails up the Nile to your first destination, Kom Ombo. Once docked you will go ashore and visit the fabulous twin temples honoring the crocodile god, Sobek, and the falcon god, Horus. There is also an amazing museum dedicated to mummified crocodiles at the temple site.
Onward to Aswan while you refuel with a delicious lunch onboard the cruiser. After docking at Aswan, you will have plenty of free time and as usual dinner will be served on the ship. You will spend the night on the water at the lovely city of Aswan.

A luxurious breakfast on the river cruiser followed by your choice of activities; either relax onboard the ship for the morning, or take a wonderful excursion to the incredible Abu Simbel Temple, which is about 3-hour drive from Aswan. It is well worth the time.
If you choose to stay onboard the ship, the group will go ashore to see the sights of Aswan. First to the Aswan High Dam, then to the enchanting Philae Temple, which was relocated to its present home to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
Your last dinner on the ship will be served, and you can spend your last night of the tour doing what you like. Enjoy the comfort of your 5-star cabin and your final night’s rest on the waters of the Nile.
