Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, your 6 Day Cairo, Al Minya, and Western Desert Tour Package begins with a warm welcome from your Secret of Egypt tour leader, who will accompany you to your well-appointed hotel in comfort. After check-in, the tour leader will review your tour itinerary, confirming departure times from the hotel. Then you will be free to enjoy your time as you like. Your tour manager will be happy to make any recommendations for things to do near your hotel in case you would like to explore on your own.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, after which an Secret of Egypttour guide will pick you up and transport you back in time starting with the stunning royal necropolis at Dahshur. The most well-known of the incredible sites here are the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid.
The next stop will be the fantastic necropolis at Saqqara. Known as the Step Pyramid, the famous pyramid of the Pharaoh Djoser is the star of the show and is said to be the most ancient of all the pyramids of Egypt.
You’ll take a break at a local restaurant for a satisfying Egyptian lunch, and then head over to explore the iconic Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. No trip to the Giza Pyramids complex is complete without a visit to the Valley Temple. After a full day of pyramid sight-seeing, you will return to your hotel to rest and relax for the evening.

After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, you will be escorted by your tour guide on the 4-hour journey to the lovely Bahariya Oasis. Lunch will be served at the oasis and then the journey continues into the magic of the Black Desert. There you will visit the St. George Oasis and a beautiful natural hot spring in the Valley of El Haiz. Next you will be astonished by the amazing display of quartz crystal at Crystal Mountain.
The stunning rock formations in the Valley of Agabat await you next as you enter the White Desert National Park. The White Desert is a national treasure, and once you marvel at the other-worldly landscape and feel the vastness of the sky you will understand why.
Sleep under the stars at a hospitable Bedouin camp, an experience you won’t soon forget. If the weather does not allow for a camp-out, you will stay the night at the well- appointed Farafra Oasis Hotel.

A traditional Bedouin breakfast will be served first thing in the morning before you head out with your Secret of Egypt tour guide to the Golden Mummy display and the Nobles Tombs. The next stop will be the Tomb of Bannantiu at the Bahariya Oasis, and lastly you will enjoy a short climb up Black Mountain.
You will be served lunch at the oasis and have a chance to relax before the journey back to Cairo to check in to your hotel for the night.

An early departure is required to fit in all of the exciting adventures that await you on Day 5 of your tour. The four-hour drive to Al Minya will definitely be worth it as you will marvel at sites that are mostly unknown to most travelers in Egypt.
On arrival at Al Minya, the first leg of the tour begins on board a motor boat. You will be escorted to Tell El Amarna, once the spectacular capital of Akhenaton. Next stop will be a visit to the ancient tombs of Beni Hassan, which are traced back to the Old and Middle Kingdoms.
Once you have explored these ancient sites you will journey back to Cairo for your final night of the 6 Day Cairo, Al Minya, and Western Deserts Tour.
